The use of scripture is transformational, not informational - as we come to know it more, we aren't satisfied until we come to know Him well.

how true ... good perspective: we shouldn't be satisfied by just reading the bible.
I love this old verse:
Make the book live to me, O Lord;
Show my thyself within thy Word,
Show me myself
and show me my Saviour
And make the book live to me.
I believe Scripture is a lot like sheet music. It's not there so you can memorize where the notes fall on the page, but rather so the notes can freely flow out of your soul and bless the ears of others who might be inspired to harmonize with it.
