I have a confession to make: I only study deeply because the Bible is the only thing I trust in life. My life is as messy as anyone else’s – I have family troubles, job issues, financial needs and emotional challenges that could probably use some therapy. I struggle with sins just as much as anyone. I am not “there” yet, wherever that might be. I cling to the scriptures and try to point people to them because I’ve tried a lot of other things, and the scriptures are singularly reliable.
