What do you think about the Bible?

Have you ever read it?

What does this question do inside of you?

I don't want my love to be just words....my faith is not in the Bible but the Bible has sure fed my faith.....

Yes, and the more I read it with an open mind, the more conflict and discrepency I find in it. Sure, it's easy to gloss over all that, but deep down it raises many issues which don't sit well with me. I've come to see what people call "scripture" as a collection of histories, opinions, observations, commentaries, and encouragements. Some authors surely did not read some others before they offered their writings. Nor should they have needed to. They had no idea a bunch of people in the future would combine all these mismatched writings into one huge book of "everything" and expect them to make sense of it.

I used to ride the "infallible" bandwagon, but an honest look at what I was reading, caused me to question the whole thing. I no longer see the bible as infallible.

I see God as infallible.
